My work is predominantly concerned with exploring the idiosyncratic and contradictory nature of human culture. I've explored questions of sexuality (Why is there a simultaneous obsession with and tabooing of sex and sexual acts in our society?), idolization (Why does our society so emphatically encourage the socioeconomic elevation of entertainers?), and violence (Why does our culture embrace violent acts form certain individuals and condemn it from others?). Though the themes of my work may appear to be cheap or cliched stabs at emotionally or philosophically provocative material, it is generally my goal to lightly introduce the viewer to these ideas rather than preach it to them. This being so, I more often than not incorporate an element of humor to my work.
